The End Must Be Near, Because I Can You See The Light?

Over the last 10 years we have seen all kinds of bubbles pop. First it was the stock market then it was the real estate markets, and then came the bank problems and now we are in a commodities market melt down. Which means lower oil, gasoline and natural gas that is not a bad thing.

This same cycle happened in the late 1960's into the early1970's and again in the late 80's into the 90's. I if am correct and it is simply a cycle that must run itself out, we should start to see the stock market begin to turn around in the next couple of months, followed by the bank recovery. Then real estate residential markets towards latter part of 2009 followed a few months later by the commercial real estate market.

History always seems to repeat it self. So, don't panic and if you look closely maybe you too can see that there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

I so agree with you. I have been in South Florida for almost 30 years. (oy vey) I have seen so many real estate and financial swings I feel like I am on a roller coaster sometimes. As my Rabbi says " life is like a Challah:. For those who have no idea what that is, it is an egg bread with peaks and valleys, just like life. So what goes up will come down and reverse it as well. So that said, we must enjoy each journey no matter which direction it is going. Thanks for the eye opening post. Enjoy each day as if it is the best day of your life. Enjoy each swing as if it is the most important time in your life. In other words live one day at a time and now I know this is corny but live each as if it is your last. Yes as you can tell I am the eternal optimist...And believe me it is not such a bad thing...

Happy Thursday!!

I hate gloom and doom, that's why I wrote it.

Hi Lori,

I am also the eternal optimist. I believe if that I believe that a property will sell then I will do the right things to make it sell.

I agree with you 100%. Most agents ( myself included, in 2001 ) got into this biz on the upswing and have never known a "down" market so we tend to think this is the only time this has happened. Luckily, I know that this has happened before in cycles like you said, so I am just adjusting my work habits to today's needs and continue them to be even more successful when the market turns around.

Having knowledge of what will happen based on what has happened in the past always gives us the advantage to prepare for it.
