The Deliverer - of Change?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Professionals MN Broker #40288835

Barack Hussein Obama has been "delivered to us" (in the words of MSNBC's Chris Matthews) as a kind of political savior who will end our national divisions, bind up our historical wounds, and infuse us with "hope" by delivering "change."

People desperate for "change" will do regrettable things. The people of Russia wanted change from the Romanov Czars. The people of Germany wanted change from the mess of the Weimar Republic -

they ended up with Hitler.

The people of Russia wanted change from the Romanov Czars -

they got Lenin and Communism.

The people of Cuba wanted change from Batista

- they got Castro.

Well.... change is what they got. "Be careful what you wish for" is often the most important lesson of human history.

When you ask most people, they really don't know what to change exactly.  They want change, but they will vote for the same Dummies that actually voted for all the budget policies that hey complain about.  If people really wnated change, they would not vote for any incumbant!

William - I do agree that people do not really know what they want  ~they just want & want & want. They want the Government to fix things, they want the Government to tell them what to do/to not tell them what to do.  They want more money - anyone's money & everyone's money -  but they do not want to give up their money, better health care ( mostly for themselves), more of this and more of that.

I understood growing up that everything we wanted more of or better of - cost money. I guess with the credit problems people forgot that in the end - most of it comes back to money.

I am actually more concerned with the morality & ethics issues, but again most of those are fueled by money.

Kathleen:

Excellent point.  Don't vote for change for the sake of change.

Kathleen - in 1776 some colonists wanted change, and here we are. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not changing my vote for changes that I think will be detrimental to the U.S., but, sometimes change is good, real good.

Mike - there are some changes that need to be made - on that we can agree. My point was that people do not know what changes they want - they also do not know or understand what changes  Barack is proposing.

They just want change for the sake of change - study the issues, understand the candidates ,their backgrounds, their voting records, their alliances, their friends, their beliefs., their view of America.
