The 2008 National 'Make A Difference Day' is this Saturday, October 25th. This is a national day of service during which communities will work in various ways to help their citizens. And Green Bay has many volunteer opportunities. Activities are planned throughout the area with local organizations including:

Neighbors Help Neighbors Project in cooperation with the Aging & Disability Resource Center - Help the elderly & disabled get ready for winter - rake, wash windows, weed, trim shrubs October 24th - November 15th.

Green Bay YMCA - Halloween party donations, preparation, set-up, supervision

New Community Shelter - handyman projects, meal preparation, activities

Special Olympics Wisconsin - bowling tournament help

Green Bay Botanical Garden - removal of invasive plant species

Heritage Hill State Park - cleaning, maintenance, & garden/landscape work in/around historic park buildings
