Beautiful Utah By: Robert Swetz

Utah 10-2008 by Robert Swetz

Good morning members and non-members of Active Rain and Happy Friday.

What is so Happy about today, well you try to decide why you would like it to Happy.

For me, when I look at this photograph that I took in Utah 2 weeks ago and how beautiful the colors are and the Happy feeling that I felt when I was there, it makes me Happy.

Try to imagine the feeling that you would feel if you were sitting on cliff looking at this beautiful site? And the thousands of years that the waters have been cutting through these rocks to give you the beauty before you.

This photo was taken in Huricane Utah and the river down below that you see winding is the Virgin River that runs from the mountains of Cedar City all the way to Mesquite Nevada, just west of St. George Utah.

Please try to enjoy your Friday on me and have a wonderful weekend. And remember spend more time with your family this weekend and less time watching the news on television, the news is depressing and it's not fair if it rubs off on your family.

Just a gorgeous photo Robert, as usual for you.  And what a tremdous view.  I'll try and be happy today, but it might have to wait until tomorrow when the rain goes away.

You have a nice weekend too, and thanks for the nice photo.  Always fun to see other landscapes and surroundings, especially when there aren't houses all over [yet].

Lovely photo as usual! I am happy. I could look at life as very depressing right now. It's one of the most difficult times we personally have ever experienced. But, I believe God has a plan and I put my faith and trust in the Lord, and move forward. Wherever he wants us to be. And when I look at a picture as grand as that, it puts life and our place in the world into perspective!

Thanks for the killer picture this morning. I (Patty) moved with a friend after graduation to Salt Lake and then Snowbird for a few years and have always said that it is just simply beautiful. Stunning shot.

Nice photo!  I am always amazed at how different the topography out west is from the east coast.  I've been out west only a couple of times in my life.  We were in Nevada about 9 years ago and went hiking.  What a different experience it is out there!  I am used to tons of green stuff growing all over the place and to see the difference in vegetation was so interesting.  Red rocks too!  LOL

BTW, thanks for topping by my blog and commenting, your support is much appreciated!

Good job, Robert. but life in there might so lonely unless there is internet and electricity there.

Huiting - There is Internet and electricity and always remember, you can stay there for 3-4 months out of the year and then go somewhere else for a couple months. There are many people that live in the colder states for Spring, Summer and Fall and then they go south for the Winter, Snow Birds.
