Oh no! I Forgot To Vote...And Now Look What Happened...

By
Real Estate Agent with Helping people in transition 210155

OK, the election is only days away. Surely we've all had enough of the talking points by the candidates.

Surely we've had enough of the pundits points of view and their constant analysis of everything and anything the candidates say.

But let's pretend for a moment that it's November 5th and I decided to have one of my "no shave, Real Estate free days. (Yes, I'm entitled to do that every now and then!)

The election is over. The winner is declared. And the outcome has been determined because I forgot to vote.

Could you imagine what that might be like? The fate of the country, for at least the next 4 years, rests on my shoulders because I just didn't take the time to vote.

How would you feel if this scenario happened to you?

What would your friends and family think?

Could you live with yourself?

Get out and VOTE on November 4th....or this could be you......

While I would love to see your comments, please remember that this blog is purely meant to inspire my readers to vote. I'm not endorsing any one particular candidate. I just thought the video was very well done and wanted to share it with my readers.

Craig - a funny video, however, one vote would have only tied the election. It does really matter in local elections though.

Mike - Point well taken! This blog was only meant as an eye opener for anyone who does not exercise their right to vote. Remember, no vote = no complaining if your guy doesn't get elected!

Great Post, love the video, and I will definitely not forget to vote.  I had to send the video to my husband (a huge fan of those cute little koala bears), He loved it and is now sending it all over the place.  Thanks for keeping him busy for a few minutes on this gloomy, rainy day on the Crystal Coast.

That video was funny on many levels, and didn't show a bit of a bias... of course : ).  What is most hysterical is that some people still really think that our voting elects a president.  We're a republic, not a democracy. Public schools and ALL media have done an awesome job of confusing the populace on how our presidential election process works. The electoral college can vote anyway they chose, having nothing to do with the popular vote...and have! Still, quite a funny video.

I'm all ready to go and vote today.  I have read up on both candidates, and I done all my background checks on them.  I have done all my snopes and factchecks and I'm ready.  Thanks for the reminder.

Brian - Yes, the electorial college is the deciding factor in elections. But you still have to get out and vote. electorates choose (hopefully) the candidate based on the popular vote.

Bob - As a US Army veteran, you know the importance of being patriotic and doing the right thing by voting! Thanks for your service to our country and for voting!

I love it a political post that is just telling people to vote and not who to vote for! Too many people take our right to vote and waste it by not voting and that just isn't what made this country great!

Go out and vote!

Todd - All in good fun! I thought it was a clever video and well worth sharing. Only one person saw it as a candidate biased blog. But for the most part it was well recieved. Thanks for stopping by!

Cecily - Yes, sadly enough I did shave today! It is, after all, Monday...Back to work!

Now, the real question is did you shave?!!!

Craig: Nope! Holding off shaving until after the circus auditions later this week. Real estate has been kinda slow....may need to take a back up job as a bearded lady to supplement my income. Oh, well....a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do, right?

Cecily - If the circus gig doesn't work out for you, practice this line until you get it right, "Would you like fries with that, sir?" I think I see a future for you!
