1. Commitment to Mastery: Are you committed to offering only the best? Are you committed to learning everything that you possibly can to become a master of your profession? Think about this--in a busy market, we are able to balance the art of showing homes or listing homes AND maintaining contact with our sphere. Consider this--double up on your sphere contact AND work on earning another designation. If you've tightened your budget, use the phone for your sphere contacts and use Active Rain for your 'education.' Phone a few extra people in your sphere each day--you don't have to bring up business; make it a personal call or that you're calling to let them know about a charity event in your area that they may be interested in attending. As for the education on Active Rain, there are simply not enough hours in the day to read and become a master in all of the aspects of our business that is available here. There is simply a wealth of information here.
2. Commitment to our Customers: Are you committed to delivering A+ customer service? Are you committed to providing service AFTER the sale? These are your customers for life if you'll have them--it's a simple matter of following up and being available for each and every one of your present and former clients.
3. Commitment to the Community: What is your passion? If it is working with children, then get out there and WORK WITH CHILDREN--in the schools, in the shelters, at the YMCA...you get the drift. Museums and art galleries have many volunteer jobs available; parks and recreation have jobs for volunteers. What about the American Cancer Society? The more you're out there, the more 'branding' you're doing and you are actually doing triple duty--good for your business, good for the cause, and what a great way to feel good about yourself!
4. Commitment to being “Leaders” in Real Estate: No, I'm not speaking of being a 'Top Producer' either--I'm talking about being a LEADER in your field. Are you the go-to agent in your community? Are you the agent that new agents aspire to pattern themselves after? Boasting about being #1 is NOT being a leader; leaders are gracious and giving agents who are humble regarding their position in the business.
5. Commitment to each other: Do you know what my FAVORITE thing about Active Rain is? It's the same thing that my firm's owner instills in our agents: no-holds-barred-sharing! Are YOU committed to assisting others in our field? Are you committed to helping others become successful? YES, it WILL come back to you. Keep in mind one of my favorite lessons that I learned at a very early age: You reap what you sow. Think about another lesson in life, 'giving is better than receiving.' Do you live by the Golden Rule? We learn these behaviors as a child; why don't we practice them in business?
How do YOU operate?
