This is a forwarded message.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! We at the Scotland Cancer Treatment Center in Laurinburg are trying to raise awareness for breast cancer. Our breast cancer support group "Circle of Hope" had the idea 2 years ago when we had a small group of about 10 ladies who walked through the hospital (because it was raining) to promote awareness. The theme was "Survivors promoting awareness" as their banner so proudly states.

Last year, the community joined us for the walk with around 30 people. We walked around the hospital campus with the survivors leading the way.

This year, we are expecting around 150 people to join us for the walk and for lunch following. Friday, October 24th, 12 noon at the Community Health and Rehabilitation Center at SMH.

Let's set next Friday aside as "Think Pink Day." Encourage everyone you know as well as your co-workers to wear pink on Friday (yes, even you men).

Please forward this e-mail to anyone you know who cares deeply about a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, grandmother, or great-grandmother.

With early detection, we can save lives!!
