Oaklawn Live Racing is wrapping it up.....with a bang ! The 103rd year of live racing has been very exciting this year with THE largest crowds ever. "Derby Day" , which is the annual celebration leading up to "The Arkansas Derby" reported a record crowd of 72,464 in attendance. This is a strong indicator that TODAY, which is "Arkansas Derby Day" will also be a record breaker.
Track officials point to 3 factors which they believe contributed to the extreme growth at Oaklawn : larger purses, Instant Racing, and Electronic Games of Skill.

It is a 1 1/8 race on the dirt track

F.Y.I. : If you plan on coming, and you haven't already done so- line your plan out early this morning. As of 5:30 am this morning people from all over the south were scammering to buy tickets on Craigslist and other popular web sites. ......So get busy, it promises to be a great deal of fun.......Of course we always have fun in Hot Springs. Just for fun I have picked my favorite : My "Pick" is : "For You Reppo" going off at 6-1 odds.
So : will they get in- are there more tickets available ? Will Curlin ( the favorite ) pull off a victory ? Or will " For You Reppo " pull off an upset ?
