I have been here just about six weeks now. During this time I am in constant competition from some GREAT people here in Wisconsin for the 1st place state position. Thank you to Terry Shallert, Guy Lofts and Randal Keberlein. You are wonderful motivators and great bloggers. I truly love to read your posts.

While the points have become important (I am just shy of 20,000), I am far more proud of the people I have met and the fact that 24 people have chosen me to associate with. It astounds me that others would like anything that I have to say. I just never expected to meet so many wonderful people. It never occurred to me that I would enjoy the relationships built here.

I used to feel like this picture...alone on a crowded street.

I want to thank three people in particular but for the other supportive people here, please don't feel left out. I truly appreciate all the comments and helpful tips I have received and hope to continue to receive.

Sally Cheeseman-for being upbeat and quick with supportive comments

Bob Sloop-for schlepping around the rain to leave me comments wherever I go

Again, I thank you three AND all the other great people here. There is no place I would rather be than singin' in the Rain :)

Theresa, neat post, as I am just schlepping around on A.R. today, see who I run into? LOL...Great post, and I agree, it is not about the points. It is all about the meeting of people here, and also having the ability to learn what so many Active Rainiers have to offer, sharing our strengths, and weaknesses with one another. Where else can we go within our profession and have this much fun, and information at our finger tips, literally? Theresa--Quite the competition in MN too. Since starting about 6 weeks ago, there are thousands of new members. Most good Rainers agree its not about the points but they are kind of hard to ignore and fun to watch. Good post!

I did get to your post about 20K and I understand what you mean about not many people seeming to see the entire post. Unfortunately, I seem to be misunderstood when I speak, so it is no surprise that people don't seem to get each word I type. :) I just keep trying.
