I do not profess to have super powers. I have to say though after this weekend I am starting to wonder.
Let me start at the beginning. My mother offered to take my three teenage daughters on a getaway. My husband and I found ourselves home alone, not for just a day, but the whole weekend! This is not the first time, but it does not happen all that often, there always seems to be a houseful.
At first everything seemed normal, but quiet. Very quiet, almost peaceful. Then we started to notice little things around the house that we could fix, and or clean. I cleaned the entire kitchen in 25 minutes. This included dishes, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down the counters. Normally this would take the teenagers nearly an hour, sometimes depending on the lineup on the ipod, it could be much much longer. This was odd, but there is more. My husband took out all of our recycling in less than 20 minutes, (he also rinsed every bit of it out first) leaving the rest of the day to enjoy. We decided to shop, and the bill was half it's normal size! Then we came home, and played with the kid's dogs-they loved the attention. While this was occurring, I ran a load of laundry. I did not spill the soap everywhere, and I did not use three times as much as required. I also pushed the button on the dryer, and DRIED the clothes inside. Not to brag, but I used a fabric softener sheet, and cleaned out the lint trap. We are not sure what we will do next, but with our new found super powers we might just be unstoppable! The Three griffey Girls on their way to Victoria BC
