Real Estate Seminar Ideas....

By
Real Estate Agent with Prominent Properties Sotheby's International Realty

Hello Active Rain community.

I will venture this year into a new horizon of my business that will help me get more leads and educate my community . After careful thought, I have decided to present my community with seminars that explain the home buying process, how to get pre approved and have an attorney answer their legal real estate questions.

What topics would you like to have discussed at a real estate seminar?

Agents, what tips do you have that may be helpful in preparing a seminar of this nature? What are the "Hot" topics to discuss?

Thank you in advance. I really would appreciate any positive feedback on this.

I think this is a terrific idea. Check out George Soutos blogs he does seminars once in awhile and has some great ideas. My big thing is not so much what to talk about it's getting people to attend.

One thing I know helps in our area is to tie it to a local event that people are interested in anyway. Ride the tail of an event that is packing the seats.

Foreclosures/Investments might bring some attention.  Run a search on seminars or maybe topics to see what blog posts have been made in the past.  New contruction vs. buying an existing home.  My area receives a lot of calls about bank repos and foreclosures, guess that's why it sticks in my mind.

We have a few seminars here over the course of the year. I am asked to do a presentation about Home Inspections for them. Most are for First time buyers that are going through government programs.

Good luck

Thank you for some of your useful ideas. These ideas will get me through a few seminars.

Since I have worked with investors on forclosed properties in the past, the forclosure topics may be interesting to other people also.

Does anyone else have any great ideas to share?

Allegra,

If you are in an area that has new construction, Invite local builders to come and set up their table displays, have a panel for Q & A, and then let the people roam the room and meet the builders.
