Monday Morning....FREE Ghostly Graphics and Thoughts for all

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with CELLing Realty CalBRE #01445865

Monday Morning, and what a beautiful day I plan to make it......I just looked at the calendar and realized Halloween is this week.  Wow, where did October go? Do you have your Pumpkin?  Do you even celebrate Halloween?  If you do here's a treat for you, and if you don't scroll past the pumpkins and move right to Treat #4.

If you have children you know that the pressure to "buy" costumes is horrible. The stores are full of them, Batman, Wonder woman, sexy this or sexy that is hot this year and vying for your dollar. Buy me buy me..costumes, candy, accessories, pumpkins....all the ghostley and ghouley things you could possibly want.  Now try saying No.  Try telling your child that this year you're going to "MAKE" their costume.  If you're lucky you won't have any temper tantrums and whining that "EVERYONE" else has a "REAL" Costume.......blah blah blah.....

Halloween Witch

Kids are good at pushing our buttons. People are afraid of being different, and that includes kids.  I saw an adorable child as a ladybug, tights, tutu, and wings......a few dollars and a little make-up made an adorable costume.  As we did when I was a kid use your imagination, and recycle what you have around the house....you'd be surprised at what you can come up with.

OK....so today I am  giving you a couple Treats (that would be the big candy bars we used to get) and one trick (that would be the pencils or those Chinese finger torture thingies).  Please excuse Treat #2  I learned how to get a picture and writing into a JPG, and was practicing last night.....it's too late to go back and take the Orange out, but if you look close you can see the words :) Lesson learned...less can be more LOL :)

Treat #1

What Classic Halloween Costume Should You Wear?

Treat #2

This next one is a fun inexpensive decoration if you're having a Halloween Party.  In todays economic times many people cannot afford all the decorations you see in the stores.....but this is a fun one you can do with your kids (or for your own Party).  Enjoy.......

Halloween Punch Receipe

Treat #3  You may take any of the Graphics on here and use if you wish....the Witch, Pumpkin, etc...just right click and save as ( puts on your computer).  If you need a Graphic for your own Post feel free........

All 3 images can be smaller or bigger, as I have scrunched them to fit here :)

Treat/Trick #4

And my last Treat or Trick is for everyone out there that is biting at the bits over the election.  And there's many people on here that just may turn back into the person they used to be before getting all crazy with trying to get everyone to believe their candidate is better than ours....There really are a lot of Withces, Ghouls and Goblins speaking out in this election.....so here you go, enjoy, and I can't wait till the Witching Hour is over....and life returns to normal, whatever that might be, (can you tell I'm tired of this campign already, and how people are behaving)?

Should You Be Allowed to Vote?

So all my friends and colleagues.....I leave you with this quote that I felt was so apropos to this election, and some of the top issues besides who will be the next President.

"You have to accept whatever comes and the only important thing is

that you meet it with the best you have to give."

Eleanor Roosevelt

Have a great day, and a great week...I know I plan to :)

I love this time of year, especially with my two year old.  She's still young enough to be happy with a hand me down frilly pink dress and princess accessories.  This week we are going to a Halloween parade, a party, dinner with friends, and of course trick or treating on Friday. So much fun!

Hi Kathy!  How very sweet & thoughtful of you!  Thanks for the graphics! Love em!  I sell Costumes on EBAY every October.  It's funny to me to see what's popular.  This year it was firefighters, I sold about 30 of them ALL over the world, you might see one @ your door.  :).  KM

Hi Kathy,

My husband and I have been invited to 2 Halloween parties this year and I am trying to figure out a costume that I can create from things that I have at home. Any Suggestions?

Denise- How fun....I went to several parties at Dracula's Castle in Transylvania....that was one heck of a Party :) :)  As for costumes....I just look at my closet, and around the house.  Things just fall into place.  One guy I know made himself into a big newspaper....he cut cardboard and a place for his head in the middle.  Then he made the cardboard look like a newspaper......it was the most unique costume I saw.  My Granddaughter this year was a football player wearing a jersey and a tutu......  someone made themselves into a coffee cup...and on and on. Let me know what you end up being, and have fun :)

Kathy, I haven't been on the computer much but glad I found this, I LOVE the pictures you're letting us use for Halloween :)  I am glad I don't have to do the costumes anymore--I always agonized over them.  Of course I shouldn't have, they were hidden by coats most of the time :)  I wish you a wonderful week as well (notice I am not saying a word about the election? :)

Hi Kathy,
If you had a little one in your house, you would not have to look at a calendar to know Friday is Halloween!  Another option for costumes is "thrift store"--that's what we did and we got a terrific one for next to nothing and it looks brand new!   This is the only place we have ever shopped for Halloween costumes.  We still have not gotten to Mike's Farm.  :0(

Kathy,

Mine are still fond of the weekly ads...  And they change their minds often..  There are too many choices.

Cynthia- you are so correct.  My youngest Grandaughter just turned 6 a few days ago.....and you're right we don't need a Calendar .  That's a shame about Mike's Farm...but hopefully you got a pumpkin from somewhere...and by now your little one has probably moved on to other desires :)  I am so looking forward to what you are going to make, and of course share by post this Holiday Season.  Can you believe a year has passed.....I sure can't :)  Have fun tomorrow night!

Ann-Oh but you said it....there are way too many choices :) I never even ask anymore what they want...they get what I give.  It helps though that I'm the Grandparent....different expectations LOL :)
