A thought for today. Have faith that all will be ok. I think back to 1984 when I was heavy in farming and interest rates went up to 20%. These were tuff times for the farmer. They devalued land 50%, no different than what is happening with the Stock Market. People would not even look at buying land because they were so up in the air. By the late 80's land prices come right back. Land is always going to be a good investment. You get both return on your investment along with appreciation. You do not have to live in farm country to buy a piece of land. Buy 80 acres for somewhere between $250,000 and $300,000 and it will show you a 5% return renting it for cash to any local farmer. Call us anytime we have land coming up for sale regularly. Call 712-423-1901 or go to www.McCallAuctions.com . We felt the tuff times in the 80's and it was a few years and it did get better. This what is going on know is a wake up call for our kids and all of us that have to keep in our mind that what goes up can come down and we all have to save more. Russ McCall Auctioneer from Iowa.
