Just west of Rush City the joined lakes of East and West Rush combine to give uncounted anglers access to some of the finest fishing in the state!  No brag, just fact!  With crappies, sunnies, walleye, bass, northern, muskie at the top of the list, perch and our famous sheepheads are right behind!  With almost 3000 acres of water, several islands, a bird sanctuary, Rush Lake is easily enjoyed for a full days pontoon ride without seeing the same spot twice.  A new resort provides food and drink with welcoming docks, the local country store provides bait, tackle and libations for the day on the lake.  Many people come and decide to stay, and with the hour commute to both downtowns, Rush Lake is a wonderful haven from the cities pace.  Letting the commute wash away the day, homeowners return to watching eagles, loons and hawks..deer, bear and the kids swimming...Life is good!
