If you're like me, the sheer volume of candidates, issues, amendments, etc. that appear on a ballot can be overwhelming. Yes, the Presidential election tends to take center stage, but that's not the only thing on the ballot - wouldn't it be so much easier if it was!
Georgia Voters, you can access a complete ballot - accurate for your specific districts - through the Atlanta Journal Constitution's website. By filling in your physical address (no PO boxes), you can see a sample ballot as you will see it when you vote.
In addition, you can compare up to two candidates for each race - Presidential, State Senate and Congress, U. S. Senate and Congress, Judges, Commissioners, etc. By selecting two names for that particular race, you can compare their views on important issues, in their own words. (The disclaimer reads: "These responses were gather by LWVUS and the word limit was 50 words. Responses are published exactly as they were submitted by the candidates. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the League of Women Voters of Georgia have made no edits to correct spelling, grammar, punctuation or factual errors." Some candidates have provided no answers.)
When you're finished picking all of your candidates, you can print out your choices and bring the sample ballot with you to your polling site, so that you can vote for your chosen candidates and eliminate the confusion!
