I'm averaging 2 - 3 staging inquiries a day, seven days a week. All vacant, all from Charlotte. That is surely the market in this area. I'm to the point where I'm emptying one house and taking my inventory straight into another house. I am fortunate to have a husband with a truck and two college age sons who are my moving men. I also have a big garage for storage, but I haven't had to use it. Otherwise, I could see the problem with costs for storage, moving, trucks, etc. God has certainly planned things out well for me - as always.

I am amazed at how my business is taking off. Not all inquiries result in contracts. 90% of them I go estimate, then it takes most owners a while to decide. About 50% I hear back from and they want to proceed in one way or another. Occasionally, I get the person who is so gung-ho, they give me a starting date over the phone.

I staged in PA for many years for REALTOR friends before I realized it had a name. I got my ASP over a year ago and started my business 7 months ago. I have done a lot of advertising in the past year. And agents in my office also advertise for me. I get a lot of leads from fellow REALTORS. I get calls from people who tell me they heard from a friend of a friend of a neighbor of mine that I do staging and would I take a look at their property. Just get the word out.
