Have you read a really good book lately?

I  have.  I'm a huge fan of Seth Godin.  For those of you not familiar with him, you can visit his site at www.sethgodin.com.  He has written several really interesting books.  His main focus is on Marketing, the Customer and the Paradigm.  His favorite word is Remarkable.  The Big Moo

My favorite book, at least to this point, isThe Big Moo:  Stop Trying To Be Perfect and Start Being Remarkable.   You have to get this and listen or read.  I have a long drive so I elect to listen on my iPod.   My favorite story of the 33 is "They Say".  The other books he publishes are also fantastic.  I have all of them except his new book at this point and listen to them in my car on the way to the office.  Most are short so you can read them quickly.  His new book is called Tribes and I do plan to get it as soon as its available which should be any day now.  If you have any favorite Seth Godin stories drop me a post.  Thanks...  C YA

Thanks for the recommendation.  I have a hard time reading marketing books.  I am more of a novel type of person.  No....not the romance novels.  Give me some good Authurian legends, or high fantasy fiction and I am in heaven.  That part of me never grew up!

Ah, if only there were more free hours in a day.  I have a hard time keeping up with all my real estate magazines which have some really good articles.  Your book DOES sound interesting but listening while driving is not a good option on an island where driving times are short.

Aloha,

Richard

Thanks for the book suggestion. They always say, readers are leaders! You can't get anywhere if you are continually learning and growing. The moo book sounds like a book I'd like. I've heard of Set Godin but haven't read anything by him. I think it's high time I did though ;)

Thanks again!

Kind Regards, Nicole Weidauer

Richard - you sound like me.  That is why I buy so many of my books in audio CD format - or on occasion as PodCasts.  I am a slow reader too so I really only have this choice.  On occasion I take longer trips on purpose just to get the book in.

Diane, you can get it from Audible.com.  iTunes also has it but Audible is much less expensive and they even allow you unlimited downloads.  I highly recommend their service. I have a library of 120 audio books and with my 60GB iPod they with my 2,000 songs go with me where ever I travel.  It's like my own personal entertainment center.  I have a long drive and it kills time while I actually learn something.  Thanks for the post and let me know how you like the book.  Take care..
