Kevin in Tucson AZ:  I try to stay current with local events.  The advertising is limited in this area (the local paper only comes once a week). Most advertising is done by word of mouth or on reader boards (marquee).  I like to highlight the events for people relocating to the Fort Rucker area, so they can be aware of what is happening in the Enterprise AL community. Which group were you referring to?

Patty & Scott in Vancouver: The Fort Rucker 5K Chili Run and Cook off is a huge event on post.  Many local businesses come out and eithter run or do the chili cookoff (or both).  This year there is estimated to be 75 booths cooking chili.  I am proud to announce that Realty World is taking part in the event this year!

Marie in Waynesboro:  So, are you entering into the Augusta Chili cook off?  Pack 50 - the Cub Scouts are setting up a booth to sell the rest of the popcorn. We have $2300 left, hmmm...can they do it? Everyone loves scouting, so come out and support Fort Rucker Cub Scouts and buy some popcorn!

Greg selling Green Bay Homes: I guess taking the name as the Fort Rucker Relocation Specialist / Expert, I have much to live up to!  I try to get as much  information out as possible. The local Army Flier comes out once a week and most of the time I see it laying in the drive way (everyone must be using the Internet to get their daily news).   Thank you for keeping me in mind for the FT Rucker area, I too, will do the same if I hear of anyone heading to your Green Bay area. 

Jane:  It was a long day.  I had to be there by 7.  Here at FT Rucker most of the soliders and military families are health nuts.  Fort Rucker is always doing runs.  I thought the same thing, what a combo. Luckily the 5K Chili Run is first.

Russel in San Diego:  I did not personally run, but there had to be at least 100 people running.  Run first definitely - I do not think I would want to be present if it was vice versa!  The same with the cook off, my crew and I (Realty World) were sure we were in the Top 3, but did not place. I am going to try and do an update to this blog.  It was a great day, to sit back and mingle, drink some beer and cook 15 gallons of chili!

Diane selling Hilton Head Homes:  Yes, the event draws about 100 runners for the FT Rucker 5K chili run.  There was about 30 booths of local businesses who actually participate in the chili cook off.  I would have to say close to a thousand people come by the day long event.  Realty World prepared 15 gallons of chili (per chili cook off rules) and we served all 15 gallons.  I will be posting an update to the event soon.

Lanre:  Great chili, gross chili, hot chili and everything in between. We had fun. It was Realty World's first attempt to making chili history on Fort Rucker.  Over course I thought we should have won, but the judges thought differently.
