At morning Mass today, the readings were from St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians...you know, the one about 'Putting on the armor of God...'
It reminded me that our fight is not a 'natural' one that can be fought with 'natural' means nor with conventional methods...!
My Mom would have been ninety today...and she was an avid Phillies fan...! I'm sure she's rejoicing in some good company right now!!!
But getting back to the readings at Mass...
When you reflect on God, His Majesty, His Omnipotence, His Love, and His care for His children...even important things like elections and their outcomes cause little worry...because you know you're clad with God's armor and you're protected from the evil supernatural influences that Paul talks about in his letter to the Church at Ephesus...
This is the year of the 'underdog'...look at the Olympics, The World Series (even the losers went from last to first in one year)...If we are truly Christian, we walk by faith and not by sight...and never lose sight of the goal...To Restore All Things In Christ...!!!
Coming out of the church this morning I noticed this sign on the message board:
It's time to pause and reflect on these words of Mother Teresa...!!!
