Meet Miley Marshmallow Maxwell's new friends! Free Kittens in Concord, CA!

I believe it was the day after we picked up Miley, the new kitten, that I looked outside and noticed a mama cat with her babies.  *sigh*  Of course, have to take action (waiting on a surgery date for mama, have caught 3 of the 5 babies so far).

Miley's new friends

Rhiannon has a gift with animals.  She had the job of taming our two (now giant) cats when we first got them.  She has these 3 purring and playing and generally tearing up her room like kittens should.  Miley is happy because when she jumps on one of our giant cats, they just keep walking and ignore her.  Now she has someone to play with!

Do you think we're in trouble?

Crazy Cat Lady

I was talking to one of the dads at school waiting for Rhiannon and he mentioned that he was looking for a cat.  Hello, sir!  I can help you out!

Kitties like the doll house

Kitties

So for an update:

  • We have fleas, kittens are too young for flea treatment.  Terrylynn gets bitten any time she visits, fleas apparently don't like vegetarians as Rhiannon & I have been safe.
  • Mama kitty has an appt on 11/9 for a spay, however I am going to contact ARF & see if they will do it instead.  Our county shelter seems unclear about how to deal with ferals.
  • Need to catch 2 more kittens.  Going to purchase a trap rather than rent from county, they annoyed me.  I think the trap they rented me was defective & they charged me $5 a day anyway.
  • Need to find homes for kittens so I do not keep all 6 cats (mom + 5 babies).
  • Terrylynn (mom) wants 2 kittens, Bob (dad) does not.
  • Rhiannon (daughter) wants 5 kittens, Chris (Crazy Cat Lady) does also, so has to be rational.
  • PLEASE ALWAYS SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS!  Your neighbors will appreciate it!

Cindy - It doesn't help that I am a sucker for Siamese cats either.

Jeanean - GiGi would look cute with a kitten on her back.  : )

Chris:  These furry little guys look much friendlier than the first blog I saw of them.  I hope you find them good homes!

Oh my ~ you certainly have your hands full! One great thing about living in the dry dessert ~ no fleas! So I feel for you. I love the pictures. Kittens are so playful and imaginative!

Chris, Chris, Chris  You are with cats the way I am with Poodles; "you can never have just one".  I hope that you find homes for a dew so you can maintain whatever sanity you have now!!!

Told ya Rich, I picked her for a good reason (not just our bad habits).  You should see my bizarre shoe collection.  It rivals hers any day.  My family always waits to see what unusual shoes I will wear to holiday parties!  : )

I can't believe your shelter doesn't know how to handle feral cats. That's weird.

The cat and kittens are gorgeous, but, yes, spay and neuter your cats and dogs. We have too many unwanted little friends as it is.

Russel - I thought that was pretty odd myself.  But then the girl who answered the phone there said, "I don't know much about cats."  ? ???

Yvette - I've already voted, I never forget!

Deborah - I don't lie!  I can admit to my freaky behaviors eccentricities.  Rhiannon is sleeping with the little girl Siamese right now.  So darn cute.  Spaying and Neutering is VERY good!

I did finally get ahold of the Animal Rescue Foundation today and they will spay her next week for $20, which is a huge relief since I have so many to think about!

I'm such a sucker for strays they break my heart, all 3 of ours have feral momma's, 2 of them are bro and sis from separate litters, they have a super smart momma I can not trap and take in the be neutered:[

My daughter commented to me, Ronelle, that all of our cats were feral at one point... she had to tame the two giant ones we have because I had just lots my kitty of 15 years & wasn't up to it.  Miley was found at 4 days old and bottle fed.  Now we have these kittens to take care of and adopt out.  We are a feral cat society!  And they are all lovebugs at the end of the day!

Is Miley the white one?  He is really cute, especially with his arm around the other kitten!  Like the photo in the dollhouse!

Yes, Miley is the white kitten.  I love that photo with her arm around the baby.  As my nephew likes to joyously yell, BABY CAT!  lol  He loves to visit and his mom is definitely thinking about taking 2 siamese home with her.

Gayle - Stop!  I am keeping ONE.  Yeah, that's it.  : )

Lisa - He is Musa Ibrahma, which is Moses Abraham in English.  He is a doll.  He's very happy with my petting zoo.  First thing he always tells me is who is at my house.  "Bunnies! - Baby Cat!  Sugar! (mini poodle) Kitties!"  My baby boy, little friend, has NO indoor voice!

A wonderful message and the pictures were very nice.  It is important that owners spay their cats!  I hope that people will read this post and take your advice.

Joan - I certainly hope so too.  This is costly and time consuming and wouldn't happen if people took proper care of their pets.  Not that I don't love the kittens, I do, but there are just too many.
