Audio Books on the Go...

By

Just a quick tip before I start writing my formal Technology Post for the week.  I wanted to recommend Audible.com.  I listen to audio books just about everyday.  I have a long drive to and from work and find that audio books fill a void.  I simply do not have the time at home to read books and while I see some folks in their cars at 75 MPH tying, that I won't do.  For me, I just plug my iPod into my car and listen to my favorite audio book.  I have about 200 at this point.  Most of them are from the business genre but I do have a few that are purely for enjoyment.  For example, I have the entire Dan Brown library on my iPod.  I really like him but not just because of The Da Vinci Code.  Digital Fortress and Deception Point are also excellent books.  They have a great library and if you subscribe like I do, you'll get the books with a significant discount.  Bottom line, it makes reading or in this case listening, easy.  Give them a try.  Thanks and Have a Great Weekend...

Michael, Great suggestion.  Sometimes I like the act of just reading --- especially at bed time or in the middle of the night when I awake and can't go back to sleep.  But sometime, listening is more relaxing --- while taking a nice soak in the tub --- or driving where you can't read.  What is the best few business books you have run across lately.  Are there any that you found particularly useful

That is a great tip, Michael.  What a great way to make your commuting time more productive.  It seems like I live in my car, and I have an iPod - why didn't I think of that? :)

That's a great idea actually, it's like having your own university on wheels! Instead of stressing about the drive, you can learn on the go (or just enjoy a good story) Thanks for the link I'm going to go check it out now.....

I find audio books very convenient for my busy life style. I listen to them while i'm driving, working out in gym, doing housework.
