Internet - Integration: Stronger Than Ever

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Second Self Virtual Assistance

The Internet and the integration of tools and services is stronger than ever in our ever increasing "tech world".

With the advent of the new mobile phone technology, which has incorporated Internet access into its many other features, the Internet and integration of other online services will only increase. The virtual world is already an important part of daily life.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that, to be an agent in the future, you would need to be an agent of the future. Well, the future is here.

Recently, Active Rain added a feature allowing your blog feed to automatically be submitted to Twitter. Another new service is Listing Router.

Some other examples of integration are: WordPress, which automatically submits blog feeds to several social networks. Google offers a wide array of online services in their Google Accounts, which include an online "works suite" (documents, spreadsheets, etc), email services, a blog and much more. Windows Live Care offers a centralized backup, computer optimization and virus/malware/spyware protection all in one service; you can even have more than one computer all under one umbrella.

Social networking and online marketing videos are becoming an important part of the marketing tools used by companies everywhere. Companies are posting marketing campaigns on YouTube and connecting with potential customers via social networks.

As the services and marketing tools on the Internet grow, so will integration. Marketers, services and social networks will be offering more integrated services to you to increase their business and yours.

Now, as in the past, these technological advances are being put out to you to make your life easier and more convenient, but it will also make your life busier and more complicated. As all of the technological services are increased, so will the demand on your time. Therefore, you will need help now more than ever to manage it all. It is predicted that the use of assistants, especially virtual assistants, will increase so that you will have time to do your business.

If you are not keeping up with the new marketing opportunities, Internet presence and integration of services, you may get left behind. You will not be able to offer to your savvy clients top of the line services, if you are not savvy yourself.

We have been in the tech savy way of things for real estate for some time now. I use ActiveRain and Twitter like you do, I'm also using video blogs and other technology to bring in new business. Between the tech trend and the current market, brokers who aren't on board will be weeded out.

What is comming now is too many blogs, not enough readers: the race is on to have one of the few very succesful blogs like this one that actually succeed and targeting a niche market.  Competition is heating up as main-streamers like Realtor.com and Move.com get into the game.

this will be a battlefield for the same big boys and girls who controlled print before.

Pamela:

I think you are on to it. It just takes a lot of time to get it together. I spend that time and hope it pays off.
