"Originality"

In July, I founded the AR Group - Blatant Politics. Since then, I have posted several political blogs. However, with the election just hours from now, there will soon be less emphasis on politics (for better or worse) both in the news and on my blogs.

One of my favorite hobbies, outside of arguing about politics, is composing/writing/recording original music. So, in the spirit of non-politics, I've created a new group called "Originality".

Originality is a group for originators. Members should present original thoughts, original artwork, original music, and/or any other original material for others to review, praise and to offer constructive criticism.

I invite you all to join and look forward to reading, seeing and hearing your original material!

Wonderful idea. I love writing lyrics.

But I am with Liz as i stated a few days ago Blantant Politics and (unfortunately) S.M. will be around at least until Jan. and probably a little beyond in discourse about our new leader. Whoever that is???????????

Yeah, I agree that there is little relief in political ranting and raving in our foreseeable future. Originality is good. Isn't everything in AR supposed to be original?

Janna, yes everything on AR should be original - Originality provides an outlet for music, lyrics, artwork, photos, etc. that might not fit into other groups.

Mike, what instrument(s) do you play - and what type of music do you play?

I freelance around town as a trombonist. I play pretty much anything that is thrown in front of me, my preference though is more orchestral or chamber music.

I did one of the Broadway shows out here full time for a year, but the show closed back in February after a year run so I'm back to freelancing. Even "full time" it was only 9 hours per week and all at night, so it works out well working real estate full time as well.
