Do you know where to vote? PLUS other useful information for voters

There are some excellent sites that provide up to date information on the election with interactive content as well.

For starters I recommend you check out Google Voter Info: This site offers an easy way to find your polling place. Type in your home address, and you'll get an interactive map in seconds.

Then take a look at idashboard - an oustanding resource with real time information.

And remember, "Republicans are the best reason to vote for Democrats". (Inspired by Will Rogers)

Thanks for the information.

It's amazing the numbers of first time voters in this election so I'm sure your voter info will come in handy.

Stewart, Great link,

It was interesting to see how many voters are registered in each state.

Amazingly California, Nevada and Arizona are about tied for the lowest number of registered voters at about 50% and North Dakota of all places has by far the highest percentage of registered voters at 82%.

Looks like the average is about 62%.

Now lets hope everyone votes.

Stewart,

I wanted you to get the news as fast as possible.  Due to a larger than expected number of registered Democrats, they are holding democratic voting on Wed. the 5th.  Hope this helps, pass the word!   :)

Stewart, I just got home from a day of hanging voter information on the doors of people in this area.  Its amazing, that people actually don't know where they are supposed to go vote.  It also contained voters rights information.  We've already seen disenfranchisment here in FL, and people just don't know what they're supposed to do if they are turned away.

Would somebody let John Hersey know that his attempt at humor fell flat since that "joke" has been doing the rounds for over a week now .... not that I wouldn't put it past him and other Republicans from trying to pull a dirty trick like that .... :)

Stewart, that is not a joke.  Someone in Virginia, some organization that wants to make sure Democrats dont vote, distributed a flyer on official looking Commonwealth of Virginia letterhead stating just that!  Or maybe you know that and I just misread your comment.  Isn't it interesting that the liberal Democrats want to make sure EVERYONE has a chance to vote, and the conservative republicans would do anything to make sure they are the only ones who can?  This year the joke is on them, although we are having deja vu in N. FL again this year with "road construction" closing some of the only roads to the polls for some people.

Stewart,

You really do need to get a sense of humor.  Actually that joke has been around for many years.  I am sure you both (Terry incl.) know I would not seriously do that.  But then again, you probably do think so.  After all, I am a wicked conservative, huh?

Best wishes to all of us tomorrow.  I hope it's by a landslide.  I want there to be no doubt.

And I hope Californians use their common sense and common decency for all when it comes to Proposition 8.  Your next door neighbors in Nevada are wishing you well!
