Sedona, Arizona, is one of the premier visitor destinations in the Southwest United States. The town experiences from three million to four million visitors per year. There is a wide variety of activities available to the guests of the many resorts, hotels, bed and breakfasts, and time -share properties in the area.
Uptown Sedona prides itself in offering many shopping opportunities. Art galleries, clothing and jewelry stores, gift shops, and novelty stores are among the many retail establishments which are open year ‘round. A wide variety of dining experiences are also available. From the Cowboy Club, featuring unique appetizers like "Snake Bites", to the Javelina Cantina, there is something for every taste.
Tour companies provide guided tours into the National Forest surrounding Sedona, as well as trips to the Grand Canyon, the Hopi Mesas, and other interesting spots in Northern Arizona. Local jeep tour companies include Pink Jeep Tours, Sedona Red Rock Jeep Tours, a Day in the West, Earth Wisdom Tours, and the Hummer Tours.
Other activities include hiking, golf, the Vortex experience, and shopping for real estate. I will go into more detail on these activities in future posts.
