Nice and to the point.
One "small" correction - we do not live in a Democracy it's a Representative Republic. In a true Democracy one person and one vote makes decisions by a majority of 100% of the citizens. Too unwieldy to work. That's why we use the representative system and it does have a slight affect of making "some votes" more meaningful than others due to electoral systems.
It's still the best system man can devise and use and it's VERY important people vote and make their wishes heard.
This is what it is all about. America will survive, but everyone must do their part.
