We are waiting to make the offer until after the election.

So how many of us have buyers, or multiple buyers, that have used that line?

We personally have at least a half dozen buyers and even a couple of sellers who are waiting for the election results before they make a decision to buy or sell.  My question is what difference will it make?  We know the field is narrowed down to two choices and does either really have a substantially different stance from the other?  Does either really have the power or authority to do anything, anyway?

No, I'm not looking for a big political debate on the candidates and yes I already voted, but it would be interesting to hear if anyone has raised the question with those on-the-fence clients.  What are they really waiting for?  Is the election just the catch all excuse for this quarter?

My own opinion, a good deal is a good deal regardless of who is in office.

Chris, That is really funny.  This is the first time I have heard that excuse.

You know the old saying "buyers are liars", well I would not go that far.  I think the honest truth is that everyone is holding their breath waiting for the next move by the federal government, waiting for the stock market to start and remain on a steady path, waiting for financing to become available again, waiting, waiting, waiting ...

Maybe I can tell our creditors that we are waiting to pay them ... LOL

This is a good one Chris. How creative the buyers are becoming.

The fear is REAL

One candidate represents CHANGE we probably can't afford.

The other offers HOPE of a way out and promises to lead us through the tough times to a better place...

In a way, we have been "on hold" for the last six months.  Half the battle is simply puting the election behind us and focussing on getting back to business...

Here's my answer, "Buyers, get out your checkbook.  The election is over."  Thank you very much.
