Voting in Carlsbad November 4, 2008 - RAIN (what a shock) and NO LINE (Better shock)
My son just went looking for a place to VOTE in Clarkston WA and could not find a place, he was told by the Clarkston High School that all ballots were mailed out to the registered Voters...it was on 6:32 when he called me with his dilemma...I told him to keep searching! and don't STOP till you VOTE! I hope he is successful!
Hi Jeff, I dropped off my ballot ( received in the mail )to the Registrar of voters last Friday and that was even easier. What was really unusual was they come right to your car to verify your identity and accept the ballot. Very well organized and easy way to cast the vote.
Judging from internet news, it seems that long lines were observed in many many locations around the country.
I arrived at our polling place at the last 2nd, and the senior citizens who run it every year must have been too tired to wait another minute. They had already packed everything up and would not let me vote! We need younger volunteers for sure!
Jeff
Got my vote in and it is dry in Wisconsin.
jeff I enjoyed talking with you today. You are always welcome to visit and go ice fishing with me, or snow mobiling.
Sincerely
Tom Braatz
Hey Jeff, Happy Birthday!!!!!
A lot of areas here got stuck with vote by mail, like it or not. I wanted my vote to count TODAY (not in 3 days) so I dropped mine off yesterday, even though it meant drivin 5 miles out of my way....
Hope your birthday was great.
Weather no problem when you send in your absentee ballot. All the languages on the sign are amazing. Hey, Happy Birthday (late)!!
All - it was an eventful, and memorable day in many ways. The birthday was great but of course was overshadowed. Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts and for the birthday wishes, too. Back to work now.
Jeff
Jeff, we had rain and FOG (lots of fog), but voting was still so easy. Polling was at The Lake Arrowhead Resort and I was able to just walk in and vote. LOVED it!
Jeff, can't believe that there was no line. Hope you had a great birthday and enjoyed yourself doing something FUN! Happy belated birthday!!
By the time I voted (with my daughter Heather for her first time), it was sunny. And there was no line!
Kat - my timing was perfect, but my daughters took 1.5 and 2 hours to get it done up in LA :(
Gena - I must have been one of the few who had no line, from what I heard. It was great, especially since I felt crummy.
Sharon - Another beautiful day in paradise. :)
Jeff
Jeff we had a beautiful sunny day for election day, and the turnout was one of the best I can every remember.
