I've never been a very political person, but generally want to stay informed and be active in my local community. The election process was amazing this time around and kept me more engaged than ever in trying to read about issues and stay informed. I felt so proud to be an American seeing the number of new voters and the huge voter turnout! It is good to finally have closure and know who is going to be our next president. It was great seeing the speeches by both candidates and their focus on coming together as a nation to solve problems. It sure would be nice to see that happen. I know I want to do my part and continue being involved, even if it is in a small way. I believe if everyone did one thing each day to make their community better, the world would benefit.
