Are you knocked out by your family?

Every election since my kids have been old enough to vote, we knock each others votes out.  My daughter cancels me and my twin sons cancel each other. I guess we could all just stay home, since we basically end up in a stalemate, but we get out there anyway.  My mom and dad and my sister and brother-in-law always did the same thing to each other.  It's a family tradition.

Even though two of them vote the wrong way :) I am proud that they all care enough to make the effort.  I would much rather be canceled out because they want to add their voices to the direction the country will take next, as opposed to them not participating.   Besides, I have 4 more years to work on the other two and maybe by then I'll have them all straightened out.

In my house we all vote the same way, it didn't help.

Lol, my husband kept trying to persuade me to change my vote.  It didn't work.

Christina~ I remember once forcing my X to come with me to vote for needed funding for the schools and it wasn't until we got back to the car that I found out he voted against it.  Was I mad that I took him along to cancel my vote, I assumed he was going to be for it  LOL

Beth. It's great that you have raised free thinking children. They must be fraternal twins!

Ellie~ Actually they are identical twins, in some ways they are alike, but in others they have each always taken their own path.  I never went in for playing up the twinness by having them dress alike, or giving rhyming names.   When I see twins dressed up like little matching dolls I always feel it makes them more like toys than individual children.  Mine were encouraged to have their own tastes, own interests and while they enjoyed occasionaly fooling people, they mostly enjoyed being themselves.  Thanks for the nice comment.
