A Lesson From A Gazelle and Lion

By

Every day in Africa a gazelle wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the fastest lion, or it will be killed.

Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows that it must outrun the slowest gazelle, or it will starve to death.

It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running.

Opportunities present themselves every day. If you are a runner (a go-getter), you stand a good chance of capitalizing on them. If you are a walker or a sitter (passive), you will probably not react quickly enough and the opportunities will pass rapidly.

We all need to be reminded now and then to stay on our toes, keep our eyes open, and jump on favorable opportunities.

Great saying! As I just found out, this quote is from Abe Gubegna, an Ethiopian author: http://medcomres.com/worthy_quotes.htm
