Marketing And The Obama Campaign

My long time buddy and marketing guru, Andy Ebon, wrote in his blog (TheWeddignMarketingBlog.com) today about how the Obama campaign used marketing to help win in Tuesday's election. I'm not going to steal Andy's thunder, so you'll have to read his blog to get his take on the issue.
One of the key activities of the campaign workers was to gather contact information from voters and then do permission marketing. Voters would be sent frequent emails with news updates and campaign information and then requesting a donation! I'm not suggesting we solicit donations from our clients, but I strongly agree that using the technology to keep in touch will benefit all. One time it might be an email with a link to some pertinent info. The next time it might be a text message stating that you just left a message with the escrow department. Next, it might be a phone call just to chat with your client and reassure them that all is going well.
They call it "marketing" but I prefer to think of it as being personally involved with your clients. Who knows, maybe it will get you elected!
If you are considering a real estate transaction (buying, selling, relocating, investing), you can count on me as the local expert serving Rancho Santa Margarita, Ladera Ranch, Coto De Caza, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest and San Juan Capistrano, as well as all of South Orange County.
