How important is it that you define your vision in your personal and professional life?
I feel that unless you clearly define your vision, you will begin to waste away. I recently had it explained to me like this...
The joy of living becomes replaced with the mere act of surviving, or just getting by. Going from joy to substinance, then depression, then doom. No one should hope for this kind of life. In today's tough economy, it is becoming easier to see a pattern of people living in depression or doom rather than joy.
One exercise I am practicing in my professional and personal life is to clearly define my vision of what I hope to achieve. Whenever someone tells me how unhappy they are at work or marriage, I try to refocus them on what their vision is for their job or marriage. Getting people to think about vision can create opportunities to work with them on goals. Inspiring each other to stay focused on vision takes away some of the doom feelings brought on by tougher economic times.
How are you all coping with the market? Are you staying focused on your vision? Are you taking small incremental steps to meet your long term goals? In this Active Rain community and in our personal and professional lives, we should be lifting people up. Ask people in your networks what their Vision is for their business.
Please respond with any discussion that deals with Vision. How are you all handling this issue? If you are not dealing with vision at all.... Well, that's another blog....
Thanks
