Real Estate Agent with North Pointe Realty

I decided to take my son's homeschool class in Keyboarding with him. Boy, I thought I was good

at typing. Let me tell you to do it correctly with all the correct fingers is harder than I ever imagined.

The letters are easy but the numbers and all the symbols are very hard to do correctly and be timed.

I am being challenged thats for sure.

One thing that sounds strange but greatly helps is to ween yourself from looking. If you can put something over the keyboard so you cant see it you will learn much faster.

Shane:  Thank you for the tip I will try that. I am having trouble with the keys I don't hardly ever

use, like doing a math problem and etc.

My family is from Wisconsin Rapids, I have spent alot of time in the northern part of Wi, we had

a cottage in Phillips, beautiful country.

Oh Sandy, good for you! You'll get the hang of it, my friend. I took it in high school, and I'm so glad I did. It sure makes for better blogging to be able to type fast. GBU!

So am I presuming correctly that keyboarding is not, like, the Idaho version of California skateboarding? -- LOL

I've never heard of keyboarding. Is it just another word for typing? I'll have to Google it and see what comes up.

Elizabeth: I am learning alot. Mostly the use of the numbers, that always slowed me down.

               God Bless You also.

Pamela:  I had taken it in High School too but got away from the form when the computers

             came out.

Russel:   I think skateboarding would be more fun ahahaha Mostly it is just the right form

for typing and how to write a proper letter, memo, stuff like that. It is a high

school course so it is pretty intense. I promised my son I would compete with

him, I am sure he will win with the higher grade. He has always been home-

schooled so I am his competition ( well sometimes) I did better in the lower

In every skill set proper from is a must.  Start out with the basic reaches and then expand to the numbers.  Numbers are always the most difficult reaches but, in time, you can perfect your skill to make those reaches automatic.  Practice does make perfect so long as you aren't practicing to perfect your faults.  Make sure each practice session emphasizes the skills you want to perfect and make sure you are practicing correctly.

You can do it!
