Free Horses, Everywhere!

Have you seen the ads? "Free Horses to a good home", "Horses for sale or trade, anything considered".

The ads are everywhere, local newspapers, Craigslist and Backpage anywhere you can post an ad, especially if you don't have to pay for the ad since all your money is tied up in horses you can't give away.

Often advertised as pasture pets or pasture buddy, usually with the some reference to we just have too many horses and can't feed them all.Starving Horses

Shelters are overrun, many shelters have been taken over for neglecting the horses they have. Horse prices have fallen to record lows, and to add to it foreclosures on ranch properties are starting to add to the problem. An article in Time Magazine outlined the problem here. TIME, Abandoned Horses.

I recently posted an ad for several horses for sale, the response was people wanting to trade two or even three horses for one.

How did this happen, how did an entire American industry fall into chaos! Animal Rights Wackos!

Congress went along with the anarchist extremists animal rights wackos from PETA and other groups. They passed a law that effectively closed all of the slaughter houses in the US, that processed horse meat.

As Americans we do not eat horse meat, they eat a lot of it in France and many other countries, heck we used to use it in dog food. What makes a horse different from a cow or a chicken, AESTHETICS! we look at a horse and see it as a pet, it is every bit livestock as a cow, a chicken or a damn goat!

As a horse breeder, trainer and horse lover I have never sold a horse to the slaughter house, but by removing the ability to eliminate cull horses, lame horses, and injured horses from the heard we have made owning horses punitive.

Say you have a a lame horse that is not usable, not capable of work, riding or even sustaining itself. You are now stuck with that animal, in most states you can't even bury in on your own land. They have decided that burying a horse may somehow contaminate the ground water!

So horse ranches are going into foreclosure, horses are being abandoned, left to fend for themselves and starving. The good intentions of these animal rights wackos have created a massive epidemic of unwanted horses and starving neglected horses.

I turned in a horse owner near our farm that was neglecting his horses, The shelters I called were all so overwhelmed that they could not take any more horses. They were so overrun with horses that they simply couldn't take on any more.

Horse rescues are being taken over by state agencies, because they cannot care for the horses they have taken from abusive situations. The BLM rounds up wild horses in the west, they can no longer sell them, no-one wants them!

Stupid politicians like Emanuel Cleaver, without a drop of horse sense have caved to these animal rights nuts and destroyed an industry, bankrupted families and forced people to leave horses to die in the wilderness.

Horses are a dime a dozen and nobody wants a dozen worthless horses!

Send your thanks to congress for destroying an American Heritage, starving horses and destroying an industry, jobs and lives.

Ben I understand I and one of my clients have turned in some farm owners in our area.  It is really bad how these people put their own feelings and ego's ahead of the well being of their horses.

In this market it's a matter of people putting their livelihood ahead of their livestock. The liberal demoncrats shut down an entire industry and destroyed a vital part of our economy!

As much as I love horses, I much prefer making a living, the less they are worth the more they look like a good source of protein.

Ego's be damned people are trying to survive, and the Demoncrats are making that harder every day!

They are putting livestock ahead of human well being, and good old capitalism. They would rather see a human starve than see a horse sold to the Canadians!
