I noticed a serious spike in web traffic at my website www.stagecoachtexas.com recently. One reason is thanks to one of my blog posts being featured for on Oct 30th by Active Rain, "ActiveRain Cracks Down on Plagiarism and Violations of Copyright Laws".
Strangely, the most traffic I am receiving is from people looking for Charter Buses. I can only imagine this is some how linked to the Stagecoach charter bus line in Europe. But it appears that Google has me listed as a bus company, even though nothing in my Google account listing states this.
If I only look at the month of November, so far, I have twice as many Bus searches landing on my website than I do local stager searches. The good thing (I think) is these visitors are spending several minutes, looking at an average of five pages. So they must be interested in what they see.
The worst part, is that even though I am looking at a stellar fourth quarter of visits, the visits are not translating into inquiries or proposals. In the long term, it seems I need to make some changes to make the most visited pages more appealing and try to entice visitors to make contact. Short term, I think I will track the Bus searches for the rest of the year... for curiosity.
