The missing knockouts on this main electric service panel box are exposing the main lugs. Which are live all the time, because wires coming from the meter base which is coming from the utility company. This situation is very dangerous, I all ways call out missing knockout because the hot bus is exposed.

Frank, That picture is worth 1000 bad words. This is just plain, simple, neglect. I'm glad this was caught and can be fixed with nobody being hurt...

Ah, yes, the little ol' missing knockouts that cost, oh, maybe $4.99 for 20 of them. "Such a nitpicky inspector you are," says the little ol' Seller, until she needs a home inspector. Then who's she gonna call? Ghostbusters Frank Torre (hey! same number of syllables!).

When knockouts are missing from electric panel box it is apparent that a unlicensed person was working in the box. A license Electrician would never leave such a serious safety hazard. The electrician knows the town inspector will be checking out the work and signing off on it. When nitpicking can save a life it is not nitpicking.

It looks like #101 of a thousand uses for duct tape if you ask me.  Saves lots of money.

Funny how those little things get out of that panel and crawl off to who knows where.  No one ever remembers taking them out and has never seen one just lying around.
