What's there to do? A question heard over and over. Before moving to a new area or even after having lived in an area for awhile, you might ask this question. If you enjoy music and the arts, I would suggest checking out Collective Visions Gallery in downtown Bremerton at the corner of 4th & Pacific AVE. The gallery is celebrating its 13th Anniversary this month, November 2008. Each year it seems to get bigger and better. The gallery participates in an artwalk held the 1st Friday of each month from 5 - 8 pm. There is always something new to see, and many of the artists are there to talk to. Visit the gallery's website for a list of events and participating artists. www.collectivevisions.com
Another unique feature of the gallery is the Concert Series. Musicians ranging from the Blues, to Jazz, and Classical, all are professional and many are internationally known. The concert series runs from September through June. The concert is usually held on the 3rd Friday of the month from 7 - 9 pm. The Gallery provides an intimate setting with great musicians performing, and it's reasonably priced and very close to where you live. Why not check it out? Here's the schedule:
November 21 Jamie Sieber **Electric cellist, vocalist and composer
December 19 Carolyn Caruso **Vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist
January 16 Pearl Django **The premier hot club jazz style group
February 20 Patrick and Sophia Stoyanovich **A father and daughter piano and violin recital
