Forbes: Kennesaw among best places to sell a home
Veteran real estate agent John Reinhardt confirms that Kennesaw is one of the nation's best suburbs to sell a house.
Forbes magazine puts Kennesaw GA in Cobb County city at No. 4 on a list of 10 best suburbs to sell a house.
"Kennesaw is a very family friendly community with many resources". " Reinhardt said. "The real estate is strong in Kennesaw compared to other metro Atlanta communities"
Reinhardt, a Kennesaw-based real estate said, "Homes I've sold are getting 98% of their asking price. I believe the overall market and my progressive marketing plan have allowed me to obtain top prices for my sellers recently."
The Forbes list is based on time-on-market, price trends and the percentage of sellers who cut prices.
In Kennesaw, the median time on market is 104 days, prices are flat year-over-year and 41 percent of sellers drop the price, according to data collected by Forbes. The average price in Kennesaw is $175,000.
"Buyers are expecting very steep price drops. They are not getting this with the homes I have sold recently," Reinhardt said
None of Kennesaw's numbers would be good in normal times, Forbes notes, but they are strong for the current market.
