Hello everyone,
I love the pix of my son because it reminds me of what I'm grateful for each day. It also reminds me of he baseball games, and the funny things that happen. For example, each player get 3 tries to hit the ball pitched by the coach...if they miss three times...they have to go back to the dugout.
What's great about watching 6 year old is that they don't understand the concept of being out...or failing. My son, after swinging 3 times and missing, will stay at the plate wanting more pitches...he does no his failed 3x...and want to try again...oblivious to failure.
Does this ring a bell? In our real estate business , we try a few times then give up. We'll call a Fsbo lead once or twice, can't get an appointment and quit!. We'll then call a few expired leads, fail to set an appointment and quit. By then, we have given in to what we believe doesn't work and confirm that our efforts are a waist of time, and stop looking for new prospects.
Don't strike yourself out each day...get to the plate and swing again. I'm in the business of coaching and training agents across the US and Canada...and I see agents everyday swing and miss and call it quits way too early.
So here's a great daily action plan for today...just try this today:
1. Call 5 Fsbo's today
2. Call 5 expireds today
3. Call 5 past client today
4. Call 5 leads - old or new and ask for an appointment this week
5. Take 1 hour and go to the gym - don't flake on this one!
6. Go home tonight and get down on your knees and hug your kids, look them in the eye and tell them you love them - then do the same with your spouse (you can stand up for this one).
Strive to be consistently better each day - you don't have to kill yourself and work 15 hrs a day. However work the above plan for the next week and focus on the plan and executing it each day. Focus on the plan, and not the results.
Follow the plan and the results will happen!
Have a great week!
Dean
