Realtor Safety Week

This week (Sept. 10th -16th) is Realtor Safety Week.

Here are some tips on how to stay safe;

  1. Don't meet with someone for the first time at a listing, always offer and meet with them at the office. A serious buyer isn't likely to say no, and this way you can also get some paperwork done (like their contact information and preferences).
  2. If you don't have a cell phone by now (highly unlikely) get one, or borrow one from a friend if your weary about the meeting.
  3. Make sure you have clear directions to and from the property. Double check them for accuracy.
  4. Get some mace :)
  5. Check to see if there are any pets on the property and if so that they are securely locked up. Call the owner before leaving and verify they locked up Killer.
  6. Trust your gut!
