ZURVITA (Helping each other win...)

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.

I'm going to start with a quote from Cynthia Dedier's Zurvita website because I really like the way these people think:

"Winning at every level is more than a saying or slogan. Everyone at Zurvita, including owners, executives, and the type of Marketing Representatives that we attract, has an overriding purpose that is about much more than making money. It’s about helping each other win…professionally, financially, and spiritually. We are one big team of people who want to see you win."

The moment I read that quote it made me immediately think of ActiveRain.com and Club Chaos. Helping each other win... very cool, indeed... I keep thinking that if I expand my business model to include this venture I could actually have a lot of fun with it because I could combine the industry parallels into a lovely electronic newsletter and do the majority of it all on-line.

I am fooling around with the thought of trying this out and have been poking around in this website for a while now (over two hours). I also enjoyed a lovely call conference on the subject with two small business owners and have asked for information on tomorrow's webinar. I am wondering how effective it would be for me to be able to add their Zurvita Choice XMenergy to my R.E. arsenal. I'm on-line most of the time anyway so marketing this product would be a very simple matter of integrating it into my normal routine of marketing real estate (LOL). I bet allowing homeowners to lock in energy prices with up to a three year fixed term rate would make some of my future videos very interesting. I'd have lots of fun too because I've been tickled pink with JellyTelly.com and the drama of inventing a few cute but hilarious Sock-Puppet-Minion-Realtors has been on my mind since yesterday. Did I mention we were really getting into developing Minion TV? (LOL) Mommy and the Little Minions have been very busy. We love creating new content for my Outside Blog and I have some very talented friends you have yet to meet. :-)

BTW, my hubby's brother is a boiler-man running a very cool installation business in Kings County. I see the possibility of a new real estate opportunity knocking with marketing Zurvita Choice XMenergy... What say you?

Carolyn, I love how your wheels keep turning with ideas. You would be great at marketing "anything" so if this idea feels right for you, go for it.

I'm diversifying as RE seems to be leading me to social media and ultimately to my life-long passion, horses. Wow! So many options 'out there' and I appreciate the ones you keep throwing my way.

Thank you, Gary. :-)

Lizette, too funny. :-)

Richard, I do see several promising possibilities. :-)

Thank you, Marie. Little man is doing his happy dance on the futon as I type this. (LOL)

Rebecca, it's nice to have multiple streams of revenue coming in because you never know which stream is going to pay when. :-)

Susie, looking forward to seeing what you come up with. My friends recently purchased two quarter horses and they love riding around their property. :-)

I had a Zurvita rep that I don't really know but have met call me and stop be my office consistantly for a few months.  I got the impression of telemarketing but you're thinking it can be done essentially online?  I would love to know your ultimate conclusion on this.  If the ever creative C is checking it out maybe I need to give it another look.  The website I went to did not seem very informative so I will have to check out the one above.

Terri, I love blogging. I get to run things by my friends and the public to see what everyone thinks while I research a project. I was waiting for a link to a webinar but I haven't received it yet, which is a little disappointing because once I get fired up for a project I like to run with the ball rather than twiddle my thumbs (LOL). In this case waiting is good. It gives me more time to reflect and gather feedback.

I'm doing some independent research into it because I believe there may be merit to working this on-line rather than initiating a face to face solicitation. If people want to know, they will click the link. If they have no interest or need, then I didn't annoy anyone. The link will just silently sit there on my website (or on all 13 of 'em if I do get involved in this). The same way I promote Localism and my OB I can simply just add a paragraph on my AR and Trulia profile pages. Do a little Tweet or FB link once in a while, add it to every open house flier, etc. This project would go viral with simply adding 20 minutes to my day, which is why I believe it may be viable.

I want to make it interesting and fun so I have been playing with the idea of doing 1 minute internet videos with animation and creating some sock puppets. Virtual actors do not require a salary and release forms (LOL). My brother in-law can steer me in the right direction, which i can share with you guys as we evaluate this program. Fuel is a consumable item and I would like to have another stream of revenue to expand my interests. I'm only interested in business models that will allow me to keep my kids close by. :-)

Market Volatility is in every industry, so I guess that category would give me lots to blog about.

Acts of Terrorism are always in the back of my mind, so the deregulation of the energy industry has me wondering (a) how many new companies are going to form and (b) whether it will be a good or bad thing for consumers. Anything that brings the fuel price down for homeowners (e.g. more competition) seems to be a positive to me. Anything that gets me into contact with more homeowners also increases my sphere of influence as a Realtor. :-)

War is a never ending... I have no idea how it will affect this company, or any other company in the future. Not having the food on my table be solely dependent upon a real estate sale makes me feel better. This is a tough market and I am already juggling three positions on a very tight schedule. I have to give the gallery a painting before the end of the year, being a notary signing agent is interesting and being a real estate paralegal is exhausting (LOL). Getting involved with a consumable item that requires a steady replenishment seems a good idea right about now. :-)

Hurricanes and Extreme Weather are notorious for raising the cost of fuel. It also adversely affects the housing market. New Orleans is still struggling behind Katrina...

Economic Downturns cause people to seek multiple sources of revenue (like me) and it affects the price of fuel, food, shelter, etc.

I keep thinking that I could have a very interesting time creating visuals talking about these categories of influences and how locking in at a decent rate may be beneficial in the long run. I say may because this is a forward looking statement and I have no idea what their policy is if the fuel rate drops if a client locks in for three years at a particular rate. After all, a lock is a lock (LOL).

It is a new company so I want to know what they do the same and what they do differently. Mike  and Lester should be able to help me figure this out. Lester has been in the field for over 20 years. He has no incentive to fib to me because he isn't selling anything and has nothing to do with this company. Who knows... he might if Mike and I decide to come on board with it. I will not come on board unless I think I can make money.

There are approximately 140,000 Google hits for the company name with approximately 17,100 hits regarding on-liners complaining. Hmm... that's about 12.21% negative vs. 87.79% (positive or neutral). I've got lots of reading to do here. That's not a bad ratio and I have no way of substantiating any claim whether positive or negative, but I am glad to know that it's not perfect and that its been around long enough to generate some serious Google juice (LOL).

C, it is nice to see someone who is supportive of their friends and who likes to see other people succeed.  It takes a strong person to be able to do that.  In a world where so many people are jealous and insecure and they want to appear better than 'the Joneses', it is refreshing to see someone who is so suportive of their peers.

Just checking back to review your research :~)  From my understanding Zurvita covers many products but I guess I need to go back and check it out again.  Sounds like the offer involvement in fuel exclusively as well?

Terri, my only interest in this firm is their fuel program at the moment. They do offer a few other business options of interest, but being a Realtor, I would like to tie my first endeavor with them into the housing market. I am still waiting for my webinar link. I will update the post and embed their link so anyone interested can see what I have been waiting to see. I have not joined as an independent contractor yet, but I intend to once I've evaluated the research and come to a determination as to whether or not I believe I will be able to actually generate some income from this possible venture.

Fuel is a consumable item of necessity so I like the concept. :-)
