Debbie, I agree with you and there IS only so much land...when we run out, it's gone.  I just happened to  catch Donald Trump the other night---saying NOW is a good time to invest and about purchasing land!

Michael - When we bought our property in late 1999, land was selling any where from $300 to $600 an acre. The old saying, wish I know then what I know now!

Don - Why do think that is? Why do you think people don't see the value in land?

Debbie - You're right on the money. Not only does land appreciate over time but you can enjoy it and profit from it in terms of farming or hunting leases.  In an era when 'paper wealth' is rapidly disappearing, it's great to know there are still solid investments.

Debbie, I'm a proponent of putting land investments into our self-directed IRAs. Land in the path of progress will definitely out-perform stocks and bonds.
