SPECIAL COMMENT by Keith Olbermann

"Prop 8 is not a question about politics or religion or gay or straight, but rather a question of love".

I don't often quote Keith Olbermann or MSNBC, but this commentary is so sincere and heartfelt, that I wanted to share it with as many friends as possible.

What Obermann highlights is so basic and simple, yet it' overlooked by so many people.

This video has been going around FAST. It is a very sincere, passionate, and comprehensive appeal to our humanism. Florida has passed a similar amendment #2, which has many in our state dismayed, saddened and perplexed. It passed by only 1% and much of the blame is placed upon the wording. Pretty much, the only way to reverse this gross discrimination against a significant part of our population is on the national level. A key note of Oberman's diatribe: If the definition of marriage was put to a vote in 1965, when the majority of the states had legislation against interracial marriage, then our new president elect would be the product of an illegal marriage! NOTE: Silent protest at Fort Lauderdale city hall (and elsewhere in the state) today (Saturday) at 1:30 PM.

Hi Stewert,  I saw that " Special Comment " and was deeply moved by it also.  Oberman certainly knows how to cut to the core on issues of national import.

People should be allowed to marry whomever they want. This is just another form of discrimination. Its just not right & people need to speak up and make it change!

Stewart, If OnLY ALL Humans could watch and accept this truth. Funny how it is Religious people who cause this deep divide and Discriminate. But then "it was Religious people who hung Jesus on the Cross and Christians cried"

Stewart----awesome----sure isn't "rocket science" is it? Sometimes it is the simplest of things that elude us the most. I can't imagine how anyone could counter this in any intelligible way.

It will be interesting to see how the conservative right and members of the Mormon Church respond.

Hi Stewart... I watch Keith Olbermann daily and saw this special comment.  I think Keith is an outstanding orator and has delivered some very powerful messages in the past, but this one is in a league of its own.  Outstanding, Powerful and On Target!

Stewart:  Keith Olberman really outdid himself with this one.  I have watched it twice... and this was just powerful.  It really hits home... if you allow it to.  I do not remember seeing him so worked up about anything like he did on this issue.  Thanks for sharing.
