Those of you using gmail may have noticed that by default your signature line is at the bottom. This may sound sensible, but when you've had several back and forth e-mails, it gets lost way way down on the page, unless you take the time to cut and paste it or redo it.
Doesn't have to be. You can have your signature automatically come at the bottom of your new gmail reply.
- When in your gmail, click on Settings in the top right bar.
- Click on Labs (that's right, don't go to the Signature box on the general tab)
- Scroll down to Signature Tweaks.
- Click on Enable.
- Then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
That's it! Then your signature box will come up at the top when you click Reply, so that it is right below whatever you type in as your response.
Part of Marketing is always making it easy for people to reach us. They may want to call you instead of e-mailing. Moving the signature to the bottom of your reply helps.
p.s. since I use an e-mail account for my general business and a g-mail account when I'm at home or out of town, I'll usually say to my team mates, either "email it to me" or "gmail it to me". That's shorter than saying, email it to my gmail account.
