What's YOUR Credit Score? What's YOUR Credit Score?

FREE CREDIT REPORTSDo you KNOW the importance of having an accurate report and a good credit score but, don't have any idea what your credit score is, nor what is on your report?

KNOW YOUR CREDIT SCOREIf you're a buyer, sitting on the fence and afraid to make that jump into the homebuying process, why not check your own credit?   A good credit report and high credit score gives you the power to negotiate a better interest rate on your loan. Even those in search of a job or a lease have their credit report pulled--why not be aware of what is on the report so that you can be certain that there are no errors on the report;?  This way, when you do apply for a job, lease or a new mortgage, your credit report will be in shape-- you'll KNOW what is on it and you'll know your score!

A quick and easy way to check your report without any 'dings,' get the results from all three credit bureaus and ascertain that your reports are accurate and in order is by visiting www.FreeCreditReport.com or www.FreeCreditReportsInstantly.com.  You will be instructed to enroll in a program that provides ready access to your detailed information.  The website is secure and a confirmation with your log in info will be emailed to you which allows you access to your reports and scores.  You'll receive a free 7-day trial and you can chose not to continue with a monthly membership or sign up for a longer term.  This takes mere minutes to complete!

With either of these systems, you will receive:
AVOID IDENTITY THEFT
*  Credit reports and scores from all 3 credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian)
*  Credit monitoring and alerts
*  Instant reports and info at your fingertips 24/7
*  Secure site for delivery of your personal information

Be sure to keep a regular check on your report to avoid becoming a victim of identity theft.  Presently, it is more critical than ever before to be able to quickly diagnose suspicious activity and to ensure accuracy of your report.  If there is new activity on your report, the site will notify you via email instantaneously as well.

Take charge of your financial future and keep track of your credit report status.  Ask your agent for lender recommendation--now, your equipped and YOU have the power to negotiate a great rate for your mortgage!

Debe, this is great advice.  I know few people who are as careful as they should be about checking their credit regularly.

Debe- Good advice for people. Most people really don't see the importance of watching their credit, but then again, down here, sometimes it is less stress to just let it go:)

Debe- I do this yearly and happy to report a great score. Now all we got to do is find the buyers with great scores and ready to buy. :-)

HI Pat!  Yes, I am amazed at the number of people that tell me that they 'think' they have great credit but, have no idea what is on their report!

Hey Katerina!  Heehee!  Seriously, I didn't know for a very long time unless I was app;ying for a mortgage--not that it's online and SO easy to check, we do it often--mainly for the keeping of our identity.

Hi Donna!  Yes, everyone should do this at least once a year.

Hi Pat!  Absolutely!  I think alot of our buyers think that their score has to be above 800 in order to purchase but, that is NOT the case.

Hi Kelly!  Thanks!  Yes it IS!

Hey Jer!  Well, my blog was VERY slow loading so, I removed the customization.  Then I found that it was STILL slow loading so, I added it back--but it wouldn't span across the entire top.  Then, it was REALLY slow loading the blog page so, I removed it because I didn't like my 'abbreviated' version and was going to wait to ask you about it!  ARRGGH!

Debe- I will check it out later today and see what I can do to get it back up.  I think something w/AR is going on right now.  Not sure what is happening!

Debe, Great advice. Good post. I agree we should check the credit reports regularly so we can be aware of inaccuracies and identity theft.
