In a world where volumes are off by 30-40-50%, it is easy to understand some of the cynics out there.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.....mine just happens to be the opposite of most.

We are in one of the greatest opportunities that the real estate industry has ever seen.  You see, our team has a unique advantage in that we get to view the industry from the vantage point of over 160 markets around the country and I assure you - IT'S NOT BAD FOR EVERYONE.  In fact, quite the opposite!!!

Misery loves company, and the "ne-sayers" and cynics have had plenty to complain, moan, and groan about.  "The banks won't lend. Everything is a short-sale.  There are no equity deals anymore. There aren't any buyers in the market right now. Etc, Etc, Etc."

Well, while they are sitting around crying about it and saying it cannot be done, others are stepping up to the plate and taking advantage of all of these situations.

Great post. I recently attended the SHIFT Tour event in Houston and it was packed with 500 agents screaming for how to thrive in this market. I know it fired me up and everyone else, too. We must pick up the phone and start dialing. We must go out there and meet more people. That's the only way to shift thru the chaffe to find the motivated buyer or seller.

This is true:

"IT'S NOT BAD FOR EVERYONE"

One door closes another one opens.

One agent leaves the business, another agent captures their business.

There were approximately 5 million home sales in 2008.  Think about that.
