Hello, my name is Ryan Williams and I am a Mortgage Broker in Portland, Oregon. I have been in the industry for over 5 years and absolutely love what I do. Getting to help people buy or refinance their homes is such a thrill, and there is nothing better than making that phone call when a deal is closed and congratulating people on becoming a home owner! I am passionate about my career as well as everything in life!
I am a die hard Oregon Ducks fan as well as a Portland Trailblazer fan. I grew up in Forest Grove, Oregon, and graduated from FGHS in 1994, where I played varsity basketball and soccer. I then went on to the University of Oregon, where I got my degree in Psychology. After graduation, I worked for a telecommunications company, McLeod USA, and then worked for the Trailblazers for a year before coming over to Mortgage Express, where I not only started my career, but also met my wife, Abby. She was a processor when I first started and after asking her out about 7 times, one of her friends finally convinced her to take me up on my offer. After 3 dates, I knew she was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. We now have a daughter, Lucy who is 2 ½, and we will probably try for one more child in about 2 years. Being a father has taught me so much, and as much as I love my work, the best part of my day is coming home in the evening and having her run up and give me hugs and kisses. She has changed my life so much, and I am grateful every day to have her and Abby in my life. They are what drive me to be the best I can be in my career.
For fun we love to go camping and spend weekends at the beach or in Central Oregon. I also love going to Ducks and Blazers games, reading and watching movies, and playing in basketball and slow-pitch softball leagues. In our last fall softball league, my team won the championship. It took us about 4 seasons to get to the top, and now that we are there, we don't plan on giving up our title without a fight!
Everything I do, I do 100% and that is the way I live my life. Please stay tuned for more blogs as I plan on sharing my views and opinions, and I look forward to plenty of feedback!
