Can you imagine the likes of Barney Frank (reminds me of a cartoon character) or Chris Dodd running an Automotive Manufacturer? They sure made a mess of the housing market and I wonder what they'll do if the gutless Auto execs bend to their will and beg them for money to keep their ships (or cars) afloat.
Unless you live in a cave, the stock market is telling us something...it doesn't like socialism. But, Nancy Pelosi and her comrades don't want the market to do what it does very well.
The FREE market is a survival of the fittest place. The reason automotive companies are in the fix that they're in is because of their FAILURE to negotiate with the UAW--over years, and years, and years.
When business was GOOD, the Chiefs of these companies didn't want to rock the boat--they caved in and gave the UAW whatever they wanted.
Cars cost just about the same--Model vs Model, whether they are American Made (with foreign parts) or foreign (made in plants in the US) the difference is in the cost of labor and the fatter bottom line of foreign companies. American comapnies are not MAKING MONEY. They spend more than they take in!
Pelosi and the rest of the proponents of the great give-a-way, want to CONTROL, regulate, socialize and tell corporations and by extension, you and I how we to do business.
These "failures" who are in control of congress are the reason we are in the mess we are in.
They will strive to have THEIR country be like the one Michael Moore would have: this bloated blob is screaming that "CAPITALISM IS DEAD." And that's what the comrades in arms who will be taking office in January want.
They want so much to take care of you and they have proven (democrat-liberal-socialists) time and time again to mess things up when they try.
