Randy- It's tough in any economy to cut a client loose but it sounds like your wife needs to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with her client. She's been hired to do a job and either the client lets her do it or she needs to walk away.
I can relate to holding on to too many things...you have to get in the right frame of mind, or be motivated by something to start letting go...
WElcome to AR! My advice, Join the newbie group for tips :)
Randy, I hate to say it but I think that your wife just needs to ask the client if she wants your wife's help or not. If she does, great get rid of this crap! If not, have a great life!
Maybe let your wife know that it is just these types of folks that create business for her? Welcome to AR from a 2 week old member. It is really interetsing and fun.
Oh yes the conversation has come that you need to have a heart to heart conversation with her knowing what the expectation are if she has a hard time with that you have to move on.
Randy,
Ahhhh, you're a lucky man...you have a wife that knows she can count on YOU for an ear, for support, and love. Most people aren't as fortunate...Let's hope she gets things worked out. In the meantime, just be there for her.
I tend to stay away from someone that close. When it business.. ie a loan or new home, there are so many things that go wrong and I couldn't live with the person.
Randy....Welcome to ActiveRain. This is a great community to network with others as well a great place to learn from other's experiences and knowledge. I've enjoyed it; I hope you enjoy it as well. Congrats on your first post.

I know what your wife is going threw. My sister has the same problem letting go of things. But she is slowly doing it. Welcome to Active Rain. I look forward to your future posts.
Welcome to the rain! You are going to make many new friends and learn so much here on this site. Here's my humble advice to you about your wife.....go ahead and listen to her. Women don't want you to solve a problem, they just need an ear so they can vent...
Hi, Randy.
If you are still in the business, we invite you back to ActiveRain in 2016!
